Opportunities Inside & Outside the Classroom

In 51²è¹Ý ISD, - Our mission and everything we do, is to help our children succeed. For us, it’s all about our students. That means encouraging a love of reading and assuring them that they can conquer math and science problems. It is also by safely transporting our students to school and providing them a delicious meal for breakfast and lunch. Our 51²è¹Ý schools provide safe spaces for students to laugh with their friends or find their love of art, dance or tennis, by surrounding them with people like you, caring adults who want them to succeed. We want you to bring your talents, knowledge and passion to 51²è¹Ý. We firmly believe it's not hard to find your passion… or your "WHY" when you love what you do. In NISD we have more than 100-thousand reasons why to love your job.

“I choose 51²è¹Ý because I feel like it's a great place to be.  I’ve been here 20 years and I feel that I’ve learned so much through not only professional development but through my colleagues and having great leaders. I feel like they always strive to be the best, to keep improving, to keep getting better.  And I feel like that’s what makes this a great place to work.â€

“I want to make a difference in somebody’s life. Young people today, you hear about all the negative about them. But I’ve run across some great young people from high school to middle school. It’s a rewarding career. If I had my way, I’d probably stay here forever.â€

“I would encourage any recent college graduate or someone looking for a full-time teaching job to apply to be a substitute teacher. It’s a great way to get to know a school district and make some contacts before committing to a contract.â€
