Lindsey Christian - Principal
I am truly honored to serve as Principal at Charles Kuentz Jr.
Elementary! At Kuentz, our vision is to empower a community of
successful learners and leaders. Followed by our mission which is to
create an innovative learning experience for all students. We believe
that student success includes the development of students' skills both
academically and socially. Through this philosophy, Kuentz is known
for high academic standards as well as a Leader in Me Lighthouse
School for outstanding commitment to student leadership!

Education flows deep in me. Both of my parents are retired educators
and my grandpa on my dad's side retired as an elementary school
principal in Bryan, Tx. Following in their footsteps, I began my
teaching career in Georgetown ISD as a middle school special education
teacher, before moving to my hometown of Marble Falls. After two
years of teaching at Marble Falls Middle School in the Life Skills
Unit, my husband and I had the opportunity to move to San Antonio and
join the O'Connor family. Knowing elementary was where my love of
teaching resided, in 2013 I was blessed to be hired at McAndrew
Elementary where I served as the Special Education Campus Coordinator
before moving up to the Vice Principal position in 2016.

I made it home, back to the Helotes community. I believe that a strong
community partnership is vital to student success and that is Helotes.
There is something to be said about a child that grows up in a
community that is so supportive and instills a sense of pride of where
they come from.

I am beyond excited to serve as Associate Principal at Charles Kuentz Jr. Elementary! From the time I was 7 years old, I knew I was going to become a teacher. I grew up in Illinois and graduated with my Bachelor's Degree from Illinois State University. I moved to San Antonio, TX in 1996 to pursue my career in teaching with 51. I taught 4th and 5th grade at McDermott Elementary and 5th grade at Beard Elementary. I also went back to school and graduated with a Master's Degree in Educational Leadership from UTSA.

After 20 years in elementary, I decided to make the move to Rawlinson Middle School in the fall of 2016 where I taught 6th and 7th grade GT ELA and was the GT Specialist before becoming the ELA Coordinator and teaching 7th grade. After 25 years in the classroom, I decided it was time to step into more of an administrative role and was hired as the Student Services Facilitator at Rawlinson.

While middle school was an amazing experience, I realized that my heart truly belongs in elementary school. So, I quickly made my way back and am blessed to call Kuentz Elementary my school home! Students are at the core of our work each and every day. Each child's success and well-being is what drives me to be the best I possibly can. I look forward to working with the Kuentz community and building lasting relationships!
